Roll the Work Backward

Sometimes you have to start at the end to find the beginning

This is “B-roll” footage, but it contains an important point. Sometimes you have to talk out your ideas (on video, even if it’s just for your eyes only) to get the heart of what you’re trying to say. As a writer, sometimes this needed.

This particular day, I had been filming for a good long while. I’m glad at least this clip was salvageable.

Side note: When you’re practicing new skills, usually at least part of what you’re working on is salvageable. Celebrate it as a win. It’s progress, and it counts.
