Somehow, you found me.

Since you’re here, you might as well sit for a minute or two. Slow down. Take a breath.

Inked Sheets used to be another attempt at making money, being successful, and being financially free. But it turns out, I was just trying to force what I do best into a model that doesn’t fit - again.

I’m out of fresh marketing phrases, positivity slogans, and value-added verbiage. I no longer do content plans or try to give my opinion on every little thing for the sake of being seen on the internet.

I should tell my stories when I’m inspired to, feel my way through situations, and carefully observe many things.

This is what I’ve been wanting to do forever. This is the way you’ve been wanting me to do it, too. The other ways of doing it just don’t work.

I got my CDL-A driver’s license to get a job, drove a truck for a little bit, and now I drive a different commercial vehicle.

Paid subscriptions are turned on so that readers who want to help me keep going and are financially able to do so can. There are no added perks you’ll receive for having a paid subscription. You will receive nothing extra from me to you. You financially contribute if you want to, and I thank you for that gift.

Full disclosure:

  • Rahila is the Muslim name I chose for myself, but I don’t go by it in public. My given name is Misty, and that’s what I use.

  • RJ Rivers is a pen name I use. Rahila J. Rivers is one of my main fictional characters. I started playing with it in previous posts, but that whole thing just needs more development. I plan on doing more with that in the future.

  • The Stealthy Scribbler Society is still a thing. You should write by hand more often.

  • I no longer feel the need to correct all my typos.

These are my stories, the ones you wanted, and some you didn’t. Some of these stories are partially fictionalized, hence the disclosure of “creative non-fiction.” They’re told through my eyes, my imagination, and sometimes through the windshield of an 18-wheeler.

Welcome.
